The Loadstar: subscription terms and conditions

The interesting bit

You can cancel your subscription at any time, but you will not be refunded for any remaining time.If you cancel a monthly subscription mid-month, or an annual subscription mid-year, the same rule applies.

All subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current term.

You can cancel via your account dashboard or by emailing subscriptions@loadstar.co.uk.

Subscriptions are for business use only. By subscribing, you confirm you are purchasing in the course of business and not as a consumer.You may not share your login or distribute our content. And while we aim to be accurate, you should not make financial decisions based solely on what you read onThe Loadstar.

The legal bit.

Business customers only
Subscriptions to The Loadstar are available exclusively to business customers. By purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you are acting in the course of a trade, business, craft or profession and not as a consumer.

2. Definitions
“Client” means the business entity purchasing a subscription.
“Fees” means the subscription fees payable for the Products.
“Products” means any publication, article, newsletter, report, data or other content supplied by The Loadstar.
“Subscription Term” means the initial subscription period and any renewal period.

3. Orders and payment
3.1 All orders are subject to acceptance by The Loadstar.
3.2 Fees are as stated at the time of purchase.
3.3 Fees are exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. VAT will be charged where applicable.
3.4 Payment is due at the time of order via credit card or other approved payment method. Where invoicing is agreed, payment terms are 30 days from invoice date.
3.5 Submission of payment details and confirmation of order creates a legally binding contract.
3.6 Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
3.7 The Loadstar may amend Fees at renewal. Any changes will be communicated in advance.

4. Subscription term and renewal
4.1 The subscription begins once payment is successfully processed.
4.2 Subscriptions automatically renew for successive periods of the same duration as the initial term unless cancelled.
4.3 To avoid renewal, cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the end of the current Subscription Term.
4.4 Cancellation may be made via the subscriber account or by email to subscriptions@loadstar.co.uk.
4.5 No refunds or credits will be provided for partial Subscription Terms.
4.6 The Loadstar may suspend or terminate access immediately if these Terms are breached.

5. Licence and permitted use
5.1 Subject to payment, The Loadstar grants the Client a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Products for internal business purposes only.
5.2 The Client may not:
• Share login credentials
• Copy, reproduce or distribute content
• Make content available to third parties
• Store content in a database or retrieval system• Create derivative works
• Sell or commercially exploit the Products
5.3 All intellectual property rights remain the property of The Loadstar or its licensors.Unauthorised use may result in termination and legal action.

6. Availability and delivery
Access to Products is provided electronically.The Loadstar does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and shall not be liable for delays or temporary interruptions.

7. Disclaimer
Products are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”The Loadstar does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of content and accepts no responsibility for decisions made in reliance on it.The Client assumes all risk in using the Products.

8. Limitation of liability
8.1 The Loadstar’s total liability shall not exceed the Fees paid by the Client in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8.2 The Loadstar shall not be liable for:
• Loss of profit
• Loss of revenue
• Business interruption
• Indirect or consequential loss
8.3 Nothing limits liability for:
• Death or personal injury caused by negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any liability that cannot be excluded by law

9. Force majeure
The Loadstar shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including technical failures, internet outages, cyberattacks, or government action.

10. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with The Loadstar’s Privacy Policy, available at [insert link].

11. Compliance with laws
The Client agrees to comply with all applicable laws, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption and export control laws.

12. AmendmentsThe Loadstar may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the website or by email.Continued use of the Products constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
